Full time Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Split position- outpatient and inpatient settings at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville and Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
The Certified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant I is responsible to the Department Director and supervising Speech and Language Pathologist to provide treatment to the patient prescribed by the physician within the guidelines of the Speech and Language Pathology Practice Act and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position implements a plan of care for the provision of comprehensive speech and language services for individuals exhibiting dysfunction in the areas of speech and/or language. This position also performs documentation and quality improvement as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Patient Care: • Performs comprehensive speech and language treatment and related follow-up services. • Treatment Plans & Education: Trains and educates patients and family members or others and documents understanding of treatment plan and goals. • Provides speech therapy, including use of assistive equipment.
- Patient Records: Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
- Coordination of Care Collaboration: Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care. Reports patient progress and collaborates with evaluating therapist to implement the therapy plan of care.
- Supervises Rehab Techs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Bachelor's Degree Speech
- None Speech Required
- 1 year Speech Preferred
- Speech Pathologist (SPE) - State Licensing Board Speech Language Pathology Assistant - State Licensing Board
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
- Licensure - . American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
