What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Scheduler position at Franciscan Health?

WHAT TO EXPECT
Responsible for collaborating with the peri-operative leaders for upcoming surgeries and procedures.
Coordinate follow-up needs within the office.
Maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly surgery schedule within the office.
Coordinate surgeries and procedures within the outpatient surgical center on a frequent basis.
Promote patient education required educational needs of patient either in office or over the phone.
Register patients for surgery and obtain their demographic information.
Contact and work with Dr's offices for surgical case information.

Flexible candidate, open to learning new skills and assisting where needed. Day position 8-4:30. Possible earlier start depending on surgical schedule. No nights, holidays or weekends.
QAULIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma/ GED Required
- 1 Year Healthcare/Patient Care Required
- 2 years Healthcare Preferred
