Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for helping to develop, coordinate and implement a variety of activities and events for residents at the community while fostering an atmosphere of hospitality and customer service through consistent attention to residents’ needs.The hours for this position will be 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday with rotating weekends, along with every other Wednesday evening availability.
Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
- Assist the department with administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, typing memoranda (monthly calendars), and answering phones on a daily basis.
- Lead and/or assist with group and one on one activity programs.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities.
- Encourages residents to participate in daily activities.
- Assist residents with transportation to and from activities.
- Complete assessments and progress notes necessary to be compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Attend and participate in meetings such as care plans, in-services, resident counsel and other meetings as needed.
- Assist with volunteer management.
- Maintain a neat and clean environment for residents including feeding and cleaning pets for pet therapy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Licenses/Certifications: Chauffer's license within first 30 days required
Experience: No experience required, experience in programming/event planning preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to express joy, compassion, and patience toward residents participating in activities
- Ability to generate interest, excitement and enthusiasm about activities and events at the community.
