Position: Outside Service Professional
PLACE OF WORK: Pro Shop – Staging Area
JOB OVERVIEW: Providing a warm welcome as the guest enters the parking lot and is responsible for coordinating the guests requests. This includes: accepting and loading golf clubs on fully stocked golf car, cleaning, and storing of golf clubs. Responsible for keeping the staging area, driving range, and practice areas crisp.
REPORTS TO: Golf Professional and/or Director of Golf
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Golf Professional Staff, Outside Service Professionals,
Rangers, Sales Department Personnel, Front Desk Staff, Golf
Course Maintenance, Beverage Cart Attendant, and Oasis
Attendant.
- External: Hotel Guests, Daily Fee Players, Members, and
Visitors.
STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS: Providing hospitality, happiness, and goodwill among all guests, daily fee players and members. Possessing the essential rules and etiquette of golf will allow individual to make a connection with guests.
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: 1) Knowledge in the rules and etiquette of golf.
2) Ability to communicate in English to guests and co- workers with proper grammar.
3) High School Graduate or currently enrolled in school.
Desirable: 1) College Graduate or college courses.
2) Member or Apprentice of Professional Golfers
Association.
3) Certification in CPR.
4) Ability to speak Spanish.
5) Experience at another golf facility for at least two years.
6) Teaching experience.
7) Visual 1 computer experience.
8) Professional image that is a visible characteristic of a player competing on the Nationwide Tour, PGA Tour,
LPGA Tour, or Champions Tour.
SKILLS: Essential:
1) Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk.
2) Ability to learn to utilize and operate Visual 1 computer system.
3) Maintaining the integrity of the staging area, driving range, and practice area.
4) Leadership.
5) Ability to manage and prioritize projects and schedules.
6) Knowledge of the rules and etiquette of golf.
7) Able to drive a tow vehicle while towing 4 cars.
8) Communicate to guests and visitors with a positive attitude.
9) Able to operate with Executive Committee,
Department Heads, and co-workers and striving to complete company objectives.
10) Ability to focus on attention of details.
11) Utilizing good judgment with difficult guests.
12) Tournament Preparation and Completion.
13) Able to communicate to rangers and golf course maintenance in regards to players needs.
14) Able to accept constructive criticism for development improvements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Providing a warm welcome to all guests.
2) Loading bags onto properly supplied golf car.
3) Maintaining the integrity of the staging area, Driving Range, and Practice Area.\
4) Keep supplies current and well stocked.
5) Cleaning all guests golf clubs.
6) Storing of Hotel guest golf clubs.
7) Insure all equipment is properly maintained.
8) Perform and complete daily opening procedures.
9) Perform and complete daily closing procedures.
10) Car batteries are filled according to specifications.
11) Communicate with golf course maintenance regarding course conditions.
12) Communicate with Rangers with activity for the day and appoint tasks and projects.
13) Communicate with the guests about their total experience and pass onto Golf Professional.
14) Upsell items to guests.
15) Insure that cleanliness is maintained at all times.
16) Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests in all environments.
17) Maintain positive guest relations
18) Be familiar with all products and services of the Hotel.
19) Car presentation is crisp.
20) Orchestrating the tee times from start to finish
21) Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.35 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
