Maritime Litigation Associate
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $260,000 – $350,000
A top-tier law firm in New York is seeking a mid-level associate (3–5 years) to join its domestic and international maritime litigation and arbitration practice. This is a rare opportunity to work with a nationally respected team handling high-stakes disputes across the maritime industry.
The Role Involves:
- Complex litigation and arbitration involving charterparty, cargo, and maritime casualty matters
- Opportunity to contribute to U.S. Coast Guard and Customs regulatory matters
- Exposure to vessel finance, registration (U.S. and foreign), chartering, purchase, and sale
Ideal Background:
- 3–5 years of maritime litigation/arbitration experience
- Familiarity with Coast Guard/Customs regulatory issues and transactional maritime work is a plus
- Prior service in the Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, or shipboard experience is highly valued
- Admission to the New York Bar is required
