The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan that would increase revenues and profits for Franjo Specialty Group. Also, is responsible for planning and implementing sales/ marketing development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets/ clients.
Essential Functions
- Works with the FSG Division Manager & the VP of Business Development to creates and implement a strategic Sales Plan.
- Performs market research and analysis.
- Furnishes marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the organization.
- Evaluates operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the latest trends in the industry.
- Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
- Develops and maintains business development budget
- Proficient in Salesforce or similar sales tracking software
- Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- Assists with brochures or other print or electronic ads to market corporate services, including job progress pictures.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Assists in planning of any event that highlights corporate services.
- Assists in developing an evaluation process to gain feedback from constituents.
- Performs public speaking regarding public relations, marketing and business development.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Manage all details of the RFP process, workflow, and AIA 305 updates
- Maintains daily call sheet that illustrates all pertinent information for sales call
- Maintain a minimum of 25- 30 calls per week to Architects, Developers, and Owners.
- Maintains and orders all company logo advertising for vehicles and equipment.
- Assists in preparation and distribution of the monthly company newsletter of company expenditures and upcoming or current project announcements
- Establishes and maintains on-going client relationships with various events and occasions (i.e.. Golfing events, dinners, etc.) during and outside of normal work hours to secure business.
- Provides timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as Accounting, Estimating, Operations, Human Resources, etc.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Percentage of Travel is estimated at about 0- 30 % but can vary based on projects.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration or relevant experience in lieu of education Computer Skills: proficient in MS office, required.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proper documentation.
