Frank Liquor Company in Middleton, WI is now hiring for a Lead Merchandiser. The Merchandiser - Lead is responsible for providing in-store support and merchandising for off-premise customer accounts with limited supervision and direction. Merchandising includes stocking shelves, building displays, installing POS, rotating stock, and ensuring products are presented for consumer purchase. This position will provide training to new merchandisers and may provide merchandising team administrative tasks and assist in the coordination of team schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Provides in-store support for off and on-premise accounts. Merchandises and stocks products at each account. This route would be 50% of the time, and 50% of supporting teammates on their routes
- Inventory and reorganize back stocks, refill cold boxes, shelves, displays and dust product as needed
- Follows quality assurance standards, monitors product codes and maintains ongoing product rotation on all date sensitive products
- Provides delivery support by putting delivery loads away at off-premise establishments as a part of their routes
- Provides retail customers with directions to wine/spirit products with assistance from store personnel
- Identifies and resolves routine problems at time of occurrence and communicates to appropriate parties and escalates to Lead Merchandiser or Manager when necessary
- Works with the sales team to execute monthly display priorities in the retail channel
- Maintains an inventory of current POS and coupons in vehicle and applies rebates and coupons to packages and displays
- Assists all divisions in major display change projects as needed
- Builds displays and places, maintains, and updates in-store POS that meets company and supplier guidelines and acts as primary support to sales team for building key account, large format displays, meeting supplier and company guidelines
- Communicates proactively and frequently, reaching out to sales representatives and customers for clarification on product orders, displays, and customer needs
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with on and/or off-premise accounts; proactively establishing contact and respectfully interacting with customers
- Attends product and business training sessions and sales meetings as needed
- Understands and completes all necessary training provided by the company as directed
- Covers routes related to vacation and illness coverage needs
- Trans merchandisers in daily activities such as stocking/backfilling, rotating product, and point of sale placement
- Provides support for special events
- Participates and provides input to new hires, interview, and selection process
- Works at retail with the Merchandisers on a regular schedule to provide oversight and training

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- One year's previous experience in related field (distribution, hospitality, supplier, or beverage industry) preferred
- Customer service experience required
- Required to be at least 18 years of age
- May need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- A valid driver's license and good driving record is required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to crouch, reach and grasp
- Must be able to sit in a car for extended periods
- Ability to operate pallet trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, power tools, box cutters and customer-specific equipment
