JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Assurance Auditor performs detailed and objective audits on product quality, warehouse and distribution facilities to ensure quality and regulatory standards are met. The QA Auditor position will drive continuous improvement within the facility and product line. The QA Auditor will maintain and protect the high standard of all Boar’s Head products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Back-up to the QA Supervisor
· Conduct daily/weekly walkthrough of distribution center and communicate any potential food safety/food quality and/or sanitation issues to QA Manager and Dept. Mgrs.
· Coordinate USDA visits for export & relabeling activities
· Weekly export activities (USDA, APHIS, AMS, etc.)
· Daily reporting and analysis of all plants receiving BH/Family Foods products.
· Monitoring and performing daily spot checks on all BH/Family Foods products.
· Daily inspection and documentation for all inbound BH/FF product (barcodes, product recognition, potential damages and temperature checks).
· Perform sanitation inspections of warehouse & deli areas for cleanliness.
· Conduct weight/tare product verifications as needed.
- Prepare reports on inspection findings and incidents.
- Follow up on customer complaints to ensure our current inventory isn’t compromised.
· Coordinate the communication process for when product is either placed on hold and/or released.
- Support all efforts with maintaining Safe Quality Foods program
- Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· Must have a High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
· Must have at least 3-5 years of progressive work experience.
· Must have 2 years of QA Experience
· Fluent in English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
· Must have excellent oral and written skills at a technical and general level.
· Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels within both a distribution and corporate environment.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
· General math skills
· Must possess sharpened analytical, logical and problem solving skills.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to complete FSMA Preventative Controls Qualified Individual Course.
- Ability to obtain ServeSafe Certified or able to attend a course and successfully pass certification exam.
- Preferably HACCP trained or be able to attend a training course and successfully complete a training course.
- Preferably Certified as a QA Technician or able to successfully complete a course by certifying body (i.e. ASQ, etc.)
- Travel will be approximately 20%
- Ability to learn and understand all components of Oracle software.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
· Ability to learn and understand all components of Ax icon software.
- Ability to learn and comprehend all components of GS-128 barcodes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $47,200.00 - $59,000.00 per year
