Job Summary:
The GM Certified Tech at Frank Kent Motor Company will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical and technical work on General Motors vehicles. This individual will work as a full-time employee, either as a Technician, Skilled Labor, or Contractor, in the auto industry at our location in Arlington, Texas. This is an individual contributor role, meaning this person will be responsible for their own workload and duties. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of GM vehicles and their maintenance and repair needs. The GM Certified Tech will also be responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely work.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair work on General Motors vehicles in a timely and efficient manner
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues using appropriate tools and technology
- Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to provide updates on work progress and explain repair needs
- Utilize electronic manuals and specialized equipment to ensure accurate and proper repairs are made
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines
- Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge through ongoing training and education
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- GM Certified Technician status required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on General Motors vehicles
- Thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to use related equipment and technology
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical or trade school education preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
