Automotive Technicians / Mechanics Wanted!  Multiple Positions Available!  Light, Medium & Heavy Duty – Full Time

Frank’s Truck Center and Frank’s GMC, established in 1930, is an award-winning dealership serving GMC, Freightliner, Isuzu and Hino clients with high quality customer service.  We're looking for energetic, experienced professionals to add to the growing team in our world-class Service Department.

2-3 positions available…WE'RE SEEKING LIGHT, MEDIUM, HEAVY DUTY and DIESEL Technicians WHO ARE MOTIVATED AND DEPENDABLE, ENERGETIC AND WORK WELL IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.   Our GMC, Freightliner, Isuzu and Hino customers need expertly skilled technicians to service their vehicles!!

We are seeking those with a strong service technician background and we are willing to train those who are dedicated to the craft!!

Positions available for all skill levels!  TOP PAY FOR EXPERIENCED TECHS!!!

Those who are ASE MASTER CERTIFIED in Cars & Light Trucks and/or Medium-Heavy Trucks can earn up to $43 per hour.  Potential for $100k per year.

Some Job Responsibilities are:

• The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs, performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Opportunities for advancement with factory paid training!

Qualifications needed are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of Service Technician experience required
  • A or B level qualification including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair a preferred and a PLUS
• ASE Certification preferred and a BIG PLUS
• Technical Training preferred and a PLUS
• GM Training a PLUS
• CDL Class B a PLUS
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and training
