The Role You'll Play to Create Success
We are excited to announce our search for a full-timeLaw Office Manager!This job contributes to the mission of FrankCrum by providing legal and administrative assistant duties to FrankCrum’s Staff Counsel Office (the “Firm”), which focuses on the defense of FrankCrum’s insureds in litigation matters involving in property, bodily injury, and construction defect claims throughout the State of Florida.
Keys to success in this position include experience working with multiple attorneys, paralegals, and law firm staff, including working with law firm case management software, experience with Clio and/or Faster Law preferred.Must have a minimum of five (5) years of law firm experience, preferably involved with insurance defense litigation. Minimum of seven (7) years of supervisory experience and experience working in a law office setting is needed. Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience is needed.

The Role You'll Play to Create Success
We are excited to announce our search for a full-timeLaw Office Manager!This job contributes to the mission of FrankCrum by providing legal and administrative assistant duties to FrankCrum’s Staff Counsel Office (the “Firm”), which focuses on the defense of FrankCrum’s insureds in litigation matters involving in property, bodily injury, and construction defect claims throughout the State of Florida.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Firm.
- Assists with implementing, enforcing, improving, and maintaining the Firm’s personnel employment policies and providing feedback and assistance to the Firm’s support staff and attorneys.
- Arranges for back-up and provides back-up if support staff are absent.
- Participates in drafting evaluations of support staff and makes substantive recommendations to the Managing Attorney regarding work assignments, promotions, discipline, and terminations.
- Provides feedback and data proactively to the Managing Attorney regarding staffing needs.
- Performs Liaison function between the Firm and FrankCrum to ensure maintenance activities are performed and facility problems are solved.
- Assures that staff have the tools they need to perform their duties.
- Purchases routine office supplies within the budgeted amount.
- Researches and receives approval for the purchase of office equipment, furniture, etc., and coordinates delivery and installation.
- Manages the telephone system, resource library, including all reference materials and subscriptions.
- Ensures offices, desks, and accounts are set up for new employees.
- Assists with new employees onboarding, which may include ensuring offices, desks, accounts, etc., are set up for new employees, as well as providing limited training on Firm systems.
- Oversees the Firm’s records retention and information storage retrieval.
- Assists FrankCrum’s Human Resources department in verifying payroll, hours, leave time, overtime, and PTO.
- Oversees salaries and benefits in tandem with the Human Resources department.
- Manages the office budget.
- Implements and maintains the Firm’s policies, systems, and procedures with direction from the Managing Attorney.
- Ensures the Firm’s activities are fully documented in writing.
- Provides limited training for staff in their respective duties using the Firm’s written policies and procedures.
- Monitors and enforces the Firm’s rules to ensure that all work is completed in accord with the Firm’s written policies and procedures.
- Handles Firm expenses on a monthly basis, to include coordination on financial-related issues with FrankCrum.
