About the job
SUMMARY
Receiving Auditor is responsible for identifying non-conforming conditions with incoming material that exceeds the expectations of our customers at Franke. In addition, the Receiving Auditor will be cross trained to support the Quality Dock Auditor.
Your tasks
- Responsible for the receiving inspection process of materials and components according to PBS Specifications.
- Keep file of quality records for each lot of material received in the plant and maintain receiving database for purchased and subcontracted components.
- Identify, segregate and quarantine suspect product and segregate in the QC hold area. Notifies Materials, Purchasing, Production, Engineering and Quality when non-conformances related to sub suppliers are found.
- Contact purchasing regarding sending samples of non-conforming product as needed.
- Request sub suppliers return authorization and disposition for material on hold.
- Request and help the quality manager, engineers, or suppliers coordinate any sorting activity as needed.
- Provide adequate information on a monthly basis to Purchasing so that they can calculate any supplier charge backs or credits.
- Provides support for the activities related with Quality and Environmental System including the participation on 5Y teams and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform containment activities per containment instructions
- Perform some of the receiving inspection testing
- Manage yellow/reg tag log and material disposition to rework or scrap
- Support plan efforts in ISO System
- Inspects all Fabricated Equipment to identify possible non-standard conditions (review welding, polishing, de-burring, and silicone as applicable) for all equipment made in-house.
- Maintain a log of quality discrepancies by part number, description, quality issue, employee, and corrective action.
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of established quality policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Reliable attendance at job site is a must

- Basic Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Intermediate Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High Reasoning Skills - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Power Point and PBS.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school education or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar quality operation preferred.
- Measuring Devices - variety (i.e., calipers, tapes, protractors, etc.)
