What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Host/Hostess position at FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE?
Performs the duties of Host/Hostess in the Dining Room or Lounge. Responsible for directing and supervising the operation of personnel, assuring that ideal environment is maintained. Responsible for the cleaning activities performed in the opening/closing of the Dining Room. Insures satisfaction of guest service through the wait staff and food quality. Promotes promptness in serving the guest and making available proper seating arrangements. Checks for accuracy of customer counts according to procedures set up by the Food and Beverage Department. Will receive additional training as a server.
Hours: Full Time - 37-40 hour average a week, may vary in slow season 5-6 days/week. Working shifts will be any combination of shifts between the hours of 5:30a and 12:00a. Must be willing to work weekends, weekdays, and some holidays
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must be minimum of 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience as Host/Hostess or related food experience. Pleasing personality, well-groomed and neat appearance. Ability to resolve service problemson own initiative. Good interpersonal communication skills.
UNIFORMS: Female: Dirndl, white blouse, apron, hair ring, black leather tie work shoes with rubber soles, nylons, name tag.
Male: Black dress slacks, white long sleeve dress shirt, black vest, red tie, black leather tie work shoes with rubber soles, name tag.
