What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardener position at FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE?
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for maintaining Bavarian Inn Lodge high standards of working condition of grounds, equipment, and plants. Responsible for ordering, pest control, and plant care to minimize future problems and expenditures.
HOURS:
a. PART TIME: 5-6 days per week, 15-30 hours average per week, more hours required in the spring/summer.
b. Earliest shift will start at 6:00 a.m., latest shift will end at 10:00 p.m.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional knowledge equivalent to one year experience of professional plant care/landscape experience.
Ability to continually reach, stretch, bend, lift items heavy weights (75 lbs.), ability to use/climb
ladders, and be on feet for continuous length of time.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Ability to drive Lodge vehicles and to be insured.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors year around.
