Position Overview :
FFS seeks an Assistant Preschool Teacher to assist with the daily program under the direction of the Lead Classroom Teacher. As part of the Early Childhood teaching team, the Assistant Teacher nurtures students' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering positive and collaborative relationships with families.

Director of Early Childhood Center
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing a creative, engaging, and stimulating classroom program.
Assist with activities for small groups, large groups, and one-on-one instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Foster a caring and supportive environment that promotes students' social, emotional, and academic development.
Direct all parental inquiries to the Lead Teacher and participate in meetings as requested.
Implement positive and effective strategies to encourage appropriate student behavior.
Assist in maintaining classroom materials and completing general housekeeping tasks.
Support students with diaper changing and potty training as needed.
Uphold and integrate Quaker values—peace, simplicity, integrity, community, and stewardship—into classroom activities and interactions with the school community.

Educational Requirements :
High School diploma required; AAS in Early Childhood Education or BA / BS / MA in Early Childhood Education preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment :
Ability to work in various settings (classroom, outdoors, etc.).
Capable of navigating stairs, standing or walking for extended periods, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Be able to pass all criminal record checks, background checks, and child abuse clearances.
