Full-Time Member Service Representative, exempt hourly
Reports to the Manager
Description
Summary:
- Responsible for providing high quality member service, including effective listening and determining member needs in order to deepen member relationship through cross selling of products and services.
- Provides a variety of member service functions, including opening/closing accounts, accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, stop payment requests, address changes, processing returned mail and sales of money orders.
- Responsible for balancing cash drawer each day.
- Responsible for the processing of daily reports involving all member electronic transactions including ACH posting and returns, check clearing and returns, debit card posting and returns, wire transfer requests and confirmations.
- Responsible for all member inquiries regarding their account and account access mechanisms (ATM/debit card, internet teller, phone inquiries).
- Responsible for handling member loan inquires including quoting rates and payments.
- Responsible for taking loan applications and processing of loan applications following standard industry practice.
- Responsible for daily ATM balancing and ATM maintenance.
- Participates in dual control of verification of cash delivery.
- Participates in dual control access of night drop retrieval and log and main vault cash transfers.
- Participates in dual access to the opening and closing of the office.
- Follows BSA, OFAC and other regulatory procedures including CTR and SAR reports.
- Assists the Manager and Assistant Manager with various clerical functions.
- Supports corporate goals and actively participates to meet goal expectations
- Participates in month end closing processes
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- High school graduate
- Sales background preferred; Cash handling experience beneficial
- Interpersonal skills, average reasoning, mathematical and language ability
- Above average clerical perception, learning ability, verbal and numerical aptitude
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to operate various office hardware and machines
