Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic restaurant team at Montano's Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and server availability.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, restaurant policies, and special events.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods, providing accurate wait times to guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Utilize the Aloha POS system for reservations and table management.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest relations with professionalism, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and seating arrangements.
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
