About This Role:
">We are seeking an experienced transportation professional to join our team as a Transportation Staff member at the Franklin City School District. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school, as well as extracurricular activities.

- Operate transportation vehicles with a high level of awareness and adherence to established safety protocols and driving procedures. ">
- Meet all requirements set forth by Federal and State regulations. ">
- Ensure passengers are securely fastened in their seats or seatbelts when the vehicle is stationary or in motion. ">
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record. ">
Requirements:

- A valid commercial driver's license (Passenger/Student endorsement) for the Commonwealth of Virginia. ">
- A minimum of one to two years of experience in student transportation, public transportation, or a related field. ">
- High school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid Certification preferred. ">
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. ">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and departmental personnel. ">
