The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking a BOR Specialist II/BTA to join the Real Estate team.

What will you do?
Maintains BTA appealed files; maintains files according to record retention procedures (e.g., logs case statuses, files, processes mail, etc.); processes statutorily required appeal notices, transcripts, hearing notices, decision letters, prep/closeout, scanning and filing; dockets cases; performs accounting functions with respect to processing tender pay requests.
Assists with intake and processing of BOR and 23A complaint cases. Assists with coding BOR cases to determine the most efficient path possible; schedule case hearings, sends out hearing and decision notices, data entry, case file prep/closeout, scanning and filing.
Greets and assists the public with inquiries regarding the Board of Revision process and procedures including status updates on cases; provides data to the public regarding parcel information, values, and tax assessments; responds to taxpayer and attorney inquiries in person or via phone/e-mail.
Updates and develops standard operating procedures for training purposes; assists with computer software enhancements.
Who should apply?
We encourage individuals with possession of an associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; one (1) or more years of related experience and/or training; real estate background preferred; or any combination of training, education, or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must possess and maintain valid Ohio driver's license and have an acceptable driving record; must comply with the FCAO Driving Policy.
