Builds and sustains a core school mission focused on Discovery and Transition for youth age 14 - 21 with multiple and severe disabilities; Provides direct supervision to all classroom instructional staff (Instructor; Instructor Assistant; Therapies: OT, PT, SLP; Nurses, Specialists: APE, Music, Art).
Observes and guides classroom instructional teams to design effective instruction; Encourages and supports collaboration among staff to ensure flexible and responsive support as needed by students in school- and community-based activities; Leads building-level curriculum review and development process with all school staff and makes recommendations to Director of Educational and Shared Services.
Supervises staff and oversees daily operations of West Central. Sets goals and objectives for the team. Provides guidance and support to team members. Monitors performance and provides feedback; conducts performance evaluations. Delegates tasks and assignments to team members. Interviews, hires staff.
Performs, in collaboration with Human Resources, Licensure and RESA reviews. Responds to and reports MUIs as per DODD MUI Administrative Rule. Prepares and submits reports to ODEW with required information. Processes the Free and Reduced Lunch Program as per reporting requirements. Develops, advocates, and enacts a shared mission, vision and core values for the school in alignment with the FCBDD.
Encourages and leads staff involvement in instructional planning, scheduling and decision-making; Oversees master school calendar, and scheduling of student activities; provides liaison with FCBDD departments and community agencies; oversees IEP and Transition Plan development for each student in collaboration with Transition Resources Coordinator. Complete annual performance evaluations within anniversary date timelines. Maintain a positive behavior support climate for staff and students while maintaining consistent progressive corrective actions when needed. Administrator all activities in compliance with Bargaining Unit Contract and Board Policies.

Salary
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Master’s Degree in field of Special Education, Education Administration, or related field; three years successful experience administrative/supervisory in program for individuals with multiple disabilities or equivalent; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required; demonstrated leadership qualities to work with a diverse group of staff, parents and other school administrators with a strong customer service focus; strong computer skills preferred in Microsoft products, educational software and instructional technology
Valid Ohio Department of Education license to supervise educational and related services staff or able to obtain license.
