What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under close supervision, provides direct client services via counseling families and youth in preparation of the adoptive process and post-adoptive issues; counsels children in long term foster care; completes and updates home studies via home visits and evaluates adoptive applicants; conducts and coordinates educational and support groups for families and youth; participates in case reviews and evaluates needs of children for matching to adoptive home; may complete Child Study Inventories; may transport children to appointments or other meetings.
- Prepares and maintains agency statistical and documentary material, including summaries, reports, forms, correspondence, etc.
- Prepares records forms, reports and other documents in legalizing adoptions.
- Participates in staff development meetings and training. Assists in emancipation programming and coordinates quarterly life skill classes.
- Communicates and coordinates with other agencies for services; instructs parents regarding other Agency services and other post-adoptive assistance.
- Collaborates with the Therapeutic Arts Program and engages in assignments related to youth actively involved in that program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

What will make you successful:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related area. LSW will be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in social work.
- Must be computer proficient.
Certifications or Licensure:
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License required.
