Franklin County Civil Service is seeking a highly skilled Tourism Recreation Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of recreational trails and locations throughout the county.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively work with outside agencies to improve County Tourism.
The incumbent will oversee the implementation of the County's multi-use Trails Master Plan, working closely with various agencies. They will also identify, write, and administer grants related to tourism and assist in administering all department-related grants.
This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, including planning, oversight, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the implementation of the County's multi-use Trails Master Plan
- Identifies, writes, and administers grants related to tourism
- Monitors and maintains records of grant-related funds
- Manages administrative functions of numerous recreational clubs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (e.g. public administration, business administration)
- At least one year of experience in project management or grant procurement and administration
- Valid NYS Driver's License required
