BASIC FUNCTION |
Works under the direction of the School Nutrition Program Manager in the planning, preparing, and serving of the meals. Is responsible for the total operation of the kitchen as outlined for the School Nutrition Program Manager in the absence of the Manager. |
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES |
Accepts major responsibility for actual cooking and preparation of meals. |
Works in the food serving line. |
Sees that proper standards for food quality are observed. |
Helps in the maintaining of proper sanitary conditions. |
Assists Manager in weighing, measuring, and mixing foods in order to comply with Federal Regulations on size of servings and quality. |
Assists Manager in monthly inventory of all supplies. |
Performs other cafeteria related duties as assigned by the Manager, School Nutrition Program Director or Principal. |
Attends at least six (6) hours of annual continuing education/training in addition to food safety training. |
Performs all duties of Manager in his/her absence. |
