Probationary Period: 180 Days
Classification Purpose
The primary purpose of the IT Coordinator classification is to provide technical assistance which enables the Probate Court to process its tasks efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with Ohio rules and regulations.
Job Duties
Installs, configures, updates, upgrades and tests hardware and software; sets up video conferencing equipment and audio recording equipment for on-site, off-site and hybrid hearings.
Provides technical assistance to court employees; schedules; coordinates appointments for members of the public to listen to recordings of non-confidential hearings.
Provides audio recordings to court reporters for the purpose of preparing transcripts; and aids other departments in responding to information requests, as appropriate and needed.
Coordinates and documents offsite storage and retrieval of marriage records, original wills, confidential and other court records in compliance with applicable ORC codes and retention policies.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Attend conferences, workshops, and training, as required.

Major Worker Characteristics
Knowledge of information technology systems. Skill in equipment operations. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems; and handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.
Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
Associate’s degree in computer or information technology, with one year of experience in computer/network administration and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
