Assists the director in providing a safe and quality environment for children in the Child Care Program.
Performance Responsibilities
Monitors children in small or large groups to ensure their safety. Follows procedures to safeguard the health and safety of children.
Assists the director in planning various activities for the children.
Assists with organizing materials.
Promotes positive parent and child interactions and activities.
Participate in staff activities and in special training programs.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.

- Learn child guidance principles and practices.
- Communicate and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff members, both orally and in writing.
- Print and write legibly.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations.
- Any combination equivalent to: High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law.
- Experience working with children in an organized setting.
