Position Title : CHILD CARE AIDE
Responsible To : Child Care Program Director
Basic Function : Assists the director in providing a safe and quality environment for children in the Child Care Program.
Performance Responsibilities :
Knowledge of :
- Safe practices in program and playground activities.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Basic record-keeping techniques.
- Health and safety regulations.
Ability to :
Learn child guidance principles and practices.
Minimum Qualifications :
Any combination equivalent to : High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law.
Terms of Employment :
Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
Evaluation :
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.
