What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Franklin County, VA?
Franklin County is currently accepting applications for the following lifeguard position at the Smith Mountain Lake Community Park, located at 1480 Parkway Avenue in Moneta, VA 24121. These are considered Seasonal positions with a timeframe of May 24 until September 1. Benefits do not apply to Seasonalpositions.
LIFEGUARD(s) – Safeguards and regulates the conduct of patrons to prevent unsafe practices and accidents by strictly enforcing policies, rules and regulations. He/she assists in preparing and maintaining records, handles rescues and provides first aid. Applicant must be at least 16 years old and a current student or a High School graduate or equivalent.
Salary: $15.00 per hour.
Lifeguards must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Applicants must be able to obtain Lifeguard Certification that will offered by the County of Franklin. Training is approximately 30 hours. Required uniforms and supplies will be provided. Applicants must be available to work the full season May-September.
