Description
College Interns are college students who are enrolled in an academic college or university AND have completed their freshman year. College Interns may only be employed in positions that are directly related to their declared major. College Interns may be employed in departments such as Tax Map, Survey, Construction, Mobility (Traffic), Highway Design, Bridge Design, Fiscal, and Information Systems.
Typical Qualifications
The minimum age for all employment is 18 years.

HOURLY RATES (effective February 14, 2024)
College Interns
Freshman year of college completed $19.00
Sophomore year of college completed $20.00
Junior year of college completed $21.00
Senior year of college completed (the student has graduated) $22.00
First year of Graduate School completed $23.00
The Franklin County Engineer's Office provides Seasonal employees with t-shirts and steel-toed boots (as needed). Seasonal employees are eligible for Holiday pay for the number of hours usually worked on the day of the Holiday.
All Positions At The Franklin County Engineer's Office Are Part Of The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). Each Employee Contributes 10% Of Their Gross Wages And The Engineer's Office Contributes 14%. More Information Can Be Found At
