Position Summary
Franklin Dental Care and Dentures is seeking a Dental Lab Technician to assist in the fabrication, adjustment, and repair of dentures, partials, and other dental prosthetics. This role is crucial in ensuring our patients receive high-quality, comfortable, and functional dental appliances. The Dental Lab Technician will work closely with dentists, assistants, and lab staff to produce custom prosthetics that improve patient quality of life.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, skilled in dental fabrication techniques, and eager to contribute to a high-volume dental lab environment. Experience with Lucitone 3D printing and digital dentures is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Salary and Compensation: $17-$25/hr

Objectives
Denture & Prosthetic Fabrication:
- Construct full and partial dentures using acrylic, Lucitone, and other materials.
- Assist in fabricating, adjusting, and repairing removable prosthetics.
- Utilize traditional and digital workflows to improve precision and efficiency.
3D Printing & Digital Integration (If Applicable):
- Work with Lucitone 3D printing systems for advanced denture fabrication.
- Assist in digital scanning, milling, and 3D-printed prosthetics production.
- Maintain and troubleshoot dental lab software and 3D-printing equipment.
Denture Fit, Adjustments & Repairs:
- Perform relines, rebases, occlusal adjustments, and repairs as needed.
- Ensure proper vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) and articulation to prevent TMJ strain.
- Work with dentists and patients to refine fit, function, and comfort.
Lab Organization & Supply Management:
- Maintain an organized, efficient dental lab workspace.
- Track inventory of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all lab orders are completed accurately and on time.
Quality Control & Documentation:
- Follow strict quality control protocols to ensure accurate, high-functioning prosthetics.
- Maintain detailed case notes and tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
Competencies & Skills
Technical Skills:
- Experience in denture fabrication, occlusion, and bite registration.
- Ability to wax, flask, pack, and finish acrylic prosthetics.
- Familiarity with Lucitone, Ivocap, or injection molding systems (preferred).
- Experience with 3D-printing, CAD/CAM software, and digital denture workflows (a plus).
Attention to Detail & Quality Control:
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to ensure accurate, high-quality prosthetic fabrication.
- Comfortable working with small, delicate materials.
Time Management & Workflow Efficiency:
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot lab challenges.
Education & Experience
Preferred:
- Certification or Associate’s Degree in Dental Lab Technology (CDT is a plus).
- 2 years of experience as a Dental Lab Technician, Denture Technician, or Prosthetic Technician.
Bonus Experience (Not Required):
- Experience working in high-volume denture production.
- Familiarity with Lucitone 3D printing and digital workflows.
- Prior work in a Medicaid-heavy dental lab.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and use hand tools for 4 hour periods.
- Comfortable working with acrylic, plaster, wax, and digital equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport trays, equipment, and dental cases as needed.
