Senior Dental Assistant Job Overview:
**SURGERY EXPERIENCE NEEDED - The ideal Senior / Registered Dental Assistant will assist in providing quality dental care and help improve patients' oral health. This job is available both FT (40 hours a week) and PT (weekends and ad-hoc surgeries)
Responsibilities of Senior Dental Assistant:
- In charge of the OS department
- Manage a DA reporting directly to them
- Personally responsible for back of the house A-Z
- Assist the dentist and/or hygienist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown treatment rooms
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
Experience:
3 years or more as a DA or Senior/Lead Dental Assistant
Qualifications
- X Ray license
- OS background highly preferred
- Chairside assisting
- General dentistry knowledge
- Ability to work with 3D scanners
- Registered Dental Assistant certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills
