Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Office Receptionist.The Front Office Receptionist will be responsible for answering, screening, and managing phone calls in a timely and efficient manner while providing basic and accurate information to the caller. This individual will utilize a patient management system to verify appropriate patient insurance coverage prior to scheduling patients. The associate will provide exceptional customer service to physicians, patients, visitors, and all other medical professionals. Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, multi-tasker, and team player are the top qualities we are looking for in this position.
Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly.
Verify insurance information.
Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information in electronic health records (EHR) system.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling issues.
Assist with inventory management of office supplies and clinic materials.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
