Description

Responsible for the handling and processing cycle counts; transporting inventory; and maintaining warehouse inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs cycle counts using E1 cycle count system
  • Count Material or supplies in stock and posts the totals to inventory records, either manually or using scanner / reader.
  • Investigate, research and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze cycle count results, identify root causes, provide feedback.
  • Use material handling equipment safely.
  • Operates a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

    Skills and Abilities

  • High energy, self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet departmental goals.
  • Warehouse equipment (forklift) driving experience (one year preferred)
  • Preferred knowledge and experience using barcode / scan gun equipment.
  • Planning, scheduling, coordination and analysis of activities.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment on any shift; ability to read and write basic English, count accurately and perform simple math.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Complete moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment, performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Ability to work alone effectively.
  • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required.)
  • Six months or more experience working in a distribution operation as a material handler or comparable skills. (Preferred)
  • Computer Skills

  • Basic : Orcale E1 and Microsoft Office.

  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee is :
  • Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; stand.

  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; push or pull; walk; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
  • Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing / distribution type environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position is Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and Infrequently exposed to wet / humid conditions.
  • This job consists of shift work up to 8 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed.
