What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Rotor 4500 position at Franklin Electric?
Description
Responsible to straighten and check the balance of the shaft then run the “super-finish” machine to smooth the journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
- Removes the shaft from the oven and cleans off the extra epoxy.
- Straightens and balances the part if needed.
- Runs the “superfinish” machine to smooth the journals. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
- Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others. Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). 6 months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).
