You would be responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations, implementing cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and the effective use of human assets. This position is pivotal in driving the plant's productivity, maintaining quality standards, facilitating timely maintenance, and managing staff to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide effective leadership to plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations.
- Analyze workflow, labor and equipment to maximize efficiency
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs
- Responsible for the implementation of manufacturing strategies and actions to achieve production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions as needed
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws as they pertain to EHS, worker's comp, OSHA and labor laws.
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
- Work with corporate team members on budgets, forecasting and planning
- Implement cost-effective solutions and supervising workers, schedules and workflow
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and guide a team of employees in achieving set production goals.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information, expectations, and feedback to the team, and to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency in production.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and resources in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify issues, analyze potential solutions and determine the best course of action.
- Technical know-how in using software and tools for inventory management, production planning, quality control, and other essential operations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, and ability to ensure compliance within the plant.
- Adept at financial planning and strategy to manage budgets, control expenses and maximize profitability.
- Experience with performance management and employee training, to ensure employees are skilled and able to deliver on their roles effectively.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field (required).
- Ten or more years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or a related field.
- Five or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Management (preferred).
- Experience with manufacturing continuous improvement processes (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen Lean) (preferred).
- Supervises supervisory and non-supervisory employee(s).
- Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Work with Human Resources on employee issues.
Intermediate: Microsoft Office suite.
