This position will be responsible for production scheduling for intercompany and direct sales orders.  Generate work orders and partner with Purchasing, Applications Engineering, and Sales to provide status and lead time of orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the creation of scheduling of shop orders to meet customer orders and minimum stocking requirements.
  • Scheduling work orders.
  • Review customer orders daily, communicate changes, plan production activity accordingly with production leaders.
  • Fixing WO backflushing issues.
  • Assisting with inventory issues.
  • Schedules daily builds by working with production leaders.
  • Assists in ensures that resources, capacity, and the flow path can meet internal and external demands.
  • Aids in coordinating activities to manage changes in supply and demand.
  • Assists in managing inventory and makes adjustments based on customers and business conditions.
  • Supports the company's supply chain.
  • Builds value stream schedule for MTO, MTS and ETO as needed.
  • Works with customers to communicate expected deliver dates and resolve all issues that may arise.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization via phone and email.
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and / or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Frequently makes decisions of minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and / or clientele to a minimal degree.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Education and Experience

  • Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
  • Associate’s degree in business, management, or a related degree (preferred).
  • Zero to three years of relevant education or experience in planning, purchasing, logistics, or a related field (required).
  • Computer Skills

  • Intermediate : Spreadsheets, Oracle JD Edwards
  • Basic : Word processing / typing, alphanumeric data entry.
