IT Technician | North Dallas
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Tier 2 IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in troubleshooting Windows Server environments and operating systems to provide effective technical support to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support to resolve complex issues related to Windows Server environments, operating systems, and associated software.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Interact with clients via phone, email, or in-person to understand and address their technical concerns promptly and professionally.
- Educate end-users on the appropriate usage of systems and software applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience (2 years) in a Helpdesk role or similar technical support position.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, O365, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other related technologies.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA) would be advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and related networking concepts.
