IT Support Specialist | Onley, IL | 6-month Contract-to-Hire
The Role
We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support to 100-150 end users across North America. This role is a mix of desktop support, troubleshooting, and system administration, ensuring smooth IT operations in a Windows-heavy environment. You’ll play a key role in transitioning IT support from an offshore team, improving efficiencies, and supporting critical business applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote IT support for end users across North America
- Troubleshoot Windows & Mac OS, O365, Active Directory, and Windows Server issues
- Manage and resolve tickets in Jira while optimizing workflows
- Support Teams Rooms and AV equipment for meetings and conferences
- Administer SharePoint, Exchange, and distribution lists
- Monitor and improve wireless networking (Meraki) alongside the networking team
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance IT operations
- Assist with Okta user access and identity management (bonus - only basic skills)
Requirements
- 3 years of IT support experience in a user-facing role
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows OS, O365, Active Directory (Mac OS is a bonus)
- Experience with ticketing systems (Jira is a bonus)
- Familiarity with SharePoint administration and Teams Rooms support
- Basic understanding of Meraki networking is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
