We are working with a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) that is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse client environments, providing technical leadership and hands-on support to ensure systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Management: Oversee and maintain client IT systems, including workstations, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Act as a senior escalation point for complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with clients to understand their business needs and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure system stability and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations and issue resolutions to support long-term efficiency and create written policy manuals.
Key Skills:
Required:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Expertise in server hardware, RAID, Windows Server, Office 365, and Exchange environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
- Experience in designing and implementing projects such as migrations, deployments, etc.
Preferred:
- Experience with backup solutions and IT service management platforms.
- Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V and AVD.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and firewall management.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
