Job Overview:
In our organization, our Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in safeguarding and maintaining the optimal performance of our production lines. Each day, these skilled professionals engage in troubleshooting tasks to ensure the seamless operation of our facility. This position demands a profound grasp of mechanical principles and aptitude.
Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance for the company's buildings, property, production and packaging equipment, product lines, CIP (Clean-in-Place) system, refrigeration, powered industrial trucks, and other related equipment including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, food piping, welding, machining/fabricating and carpentry.
- Diagnose malfunctions and provide repair and/or modifications for the company's buildings, production and packaging equipment, product lines, CIP system, refrigeration, powered industrial trucks, and other related equipment including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, food piping, welding, machining/fabricating.
- Consult with equipment manufacturers and other subcontractors on an as needed basis for assistance with preventive maintenance, repair and modification, and other related issues including but not limited to the boiler, heating, and ventilation system, fire protection equipment, and production equipment.
- Assist management with the design and set up of new equipment or work areas in terms of quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain the plant's water, wastewater, and sewer system including any required sampling.
- Order and inventory all essential parts working directly with all suppliers on pricing and other related issues.
- Train new hires in all aspects of the Maintenance Technician position.
- Maintain and store all tools and other maintenance equipment so it is easily accessible and in good working order when needed for job.
- Maintain all preventive maintenance, repair, and other related records.
- Perform all duties in accordance to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines including but not limited to lockout/tagout, machine guarding, eye and hearing protection, and confined space entry.
- Assist team in improving quality and efficiency through continual development of maintenance operations that minimizes production downtime.

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures.

- Ability to legibly and accurately complete records

- Willingness to be on-call for non-designated work hours.
- Reading, writing, and math competency.
Ideal Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing preferred.
- High level of skill and familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
- Comfortable with pneumatics & programming.
- Wastewater certification preferred.
- Experience welding in a food production environment.
