Description of Position
Franklin Hospital is seeking applicants for a Full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist. Position will provide support in the planning, implementation, and ongoing support of Electronic Health Records (EHR), clinical decision support systems (CDSS), and other health information technologies, and focus on the integration of clinical data, technology, and healthcare practices, ensuring that information systems are used efficiently and effectively across departments. Position is M-F days, with occasional adjustments to schedule as needed. Salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
Qualifications
Position requires current State of Illinois clinical licensure in an allied health field, BLS certification, and a BS in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field. Also requires a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a critical access or rural healthcare environment, experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, clinical decision support systems, and other integrated healthcare technologies, a strong understanding of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement initiatives in healthcare. MS or equivalent certification in Clinical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Health Information Technology, or related field preferred.
