Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations while preparing drinks and serving food items.
- Assist with catering events as required, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new drink recipes, trends in the industry, and local brewing options to enhance the menu offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Excellent cash handling skills; experience with point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash management and drink preparation measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; certification may be required.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards is a plus; ability to work in high-pressure environments is necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for brewing or knowledge of craft beers is an advantage.
