Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Franklin Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment, preparing patients for radiology examinations, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position patients under x-ray machines and regulate controls to expose film.
- Assist in x-ray procedures, working under the direct supervision of a Radiologist.
- Maintain records of x-rays taken.
- Perform related duties as required.
Operating X-Ray Equipment
- Set up and operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment.
- Wheel mobile equipment to patients' bedsides as required.
- Center x-ray tubes at proper angles and heights over areas to be radiographed.
- Adjust collimators to produce smallest x-ray beams that will cover anatomical areas under consideration.
- Set kilovolts, milliamperes, and exposure times to produce images of proper detail, density, contrast, and lack of distortion.
- Place cassettes of proper sizes in positions and caption them with identifying lead letters.
- Turn on machines and make necessary radiographs.
Qualifications
Education and Training:
- Graduation from an approved college with an accredited program for Radiologic Technology with an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Louisiana State License for Radiology.
