About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Franklin Medical Center. As a radiographer, you will play a crucial role in assisting medical officers in detecting foreign bodies and diagnosing diseases and injuries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare patients for radiology examinations, including positioning them under the x-ray machine and regulating controls to expose film.
- Assist radiologists during x-ray procedures, maintaining records of x-rays taken and performing related duties.
- Set up and operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment, centering the x-ray tube at the proper angle and height over the area to be radiographed.
- Adjust collimators to produce the smallest x-ray beam that will cover the anatomical area under consideration.
- Set kilovolts, milliamperes, and exposure time to produce images of proper detail, density, contrast, and lack of distortion.
- Place cassettes of the proper size in position, caption them with identifying lead letters, and turn on the machine.
