Description
Summary
- Plans the deployment of system releases by collaborating with application developers, testers, and business owners to gather requirements, analyze system functions, create and execute test plans to maintain and improve efficiency. Maintains release documentation, optimizes workflows, and implements solutions to enhance operations, quality, and productivity. Drives continuous process improvement through process mapping, collaboration with business owners, and procedural management while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in planning and deploying system and software releases, encompassing updates, patches, and major version upgrades with a focus on Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) best practices.
- Collaborates closely with developers, testers, and business owners to gather and document functional requirements for systems and business processes.
- Designs test plans, executes system and workflow tests, analyzes functionality, documents feedback and challenges, and proposes improvements to drive efficiency.
- Maintains comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, version histories, deployment, and rollback procedures.
- Evaluates current workflows, procedures, and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization, leveraging STLC methodologies to ensure high quality releases.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of actionable process improvements to enhance operations, improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Cultivates a continuous improvement mindset by promoting innovation, soliciting feedback, and leading the ongoing assessment of processes to drive operational excellence.
- Designs and revises procedures, policies, and guidelines in response to changes in processes, regulations, technology, or organizational needs, ensuring they align with evolving industry best practices and member needs.
- Organizes and maintains a procedure database, ensuring operational documentation is compliant, accurate, accessible, and appropriately archived.
- Partners with business owners and Talent Management to effectively communicate and educate stakeholders on the new processes and procedural changes, ensuring a smooth adoption and understanding.
- Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assess Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or IT or a business related field of study or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of project management experience with a track record of instrumental contributions.
