Description
Summary
- Responsible for having an advanced understanding and comprehensive knowledge of all consumer and commercial deposit products. Accountable for cross selling and processing all credit union loan products. Assumes a lead role by providing guidance and on the job training to other branch staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluates and identifies the needs of potential, new and existing members and cross sells appropriate financial products and services. Identifies and acts upon opportunities to refer potential or current commercial business members other products and services. Provides ongoing relationship servicing with consumer and commercial members to maintain goodwill and gain additional business.
- Assists in meeting Branch goals by expanding member relationships through active selling of credit union products and services in support of production and profitability goals.
- Provides on the job training and mentorship to other branch staff.
- Acts as in-branch greeter to ensure positive member experiences and support adoption of member facing technologies. Possesses an advanced understanding of digital service solutions to support member adoption of FMFCU online/mobile banking.
- Manages accurate daily settlement of branch cashboxes, vaults, cash recyclers, ATMs, ITMs, and all negotiable instruments.
- Adheres to the member onboarding program and making outbound calls and sending emails to members.
- Demonstrates operational proficiency by identifying ways to improve branch processes and mitigate loss, by acting as the branch expert for quality control and adhering to established internal audit standards.
- Maintains established member authentication, quality control, and audit standards.
- Participates in and supports branch and community events.
- Responds to member inquiries and requests. Examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly. Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out of balance conditions.
- Processes a variety of routine through complex transactions and file maintenance for members, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payment processing.
- Travels to other branch locations on occasion.
- Supports the oversight and operations of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager, on occasion. Opens and closes a branch when necessary.
- Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Associates Degree and a minimum of 3 years related financial services experience or 5-7 years of equivalent experience required
- NMLS license required
