What are the responsibilities and job description for the PC BUYER - 1st shift position at Franklin Precision Industry Inc?
Additional Functions
- Check daily that vendors made all deliveries on time and amount requested.
- Correspond with suppliers on orders, forecast changes and build outs.
- Ensure that all suppliers receive orders in scheduled time for each order cycle.
- Report any overages or underage to management and provide root cause and not within standard.
- Compile monthly supplier delivery performance for purchasing. Review new and revised BOM’s to maintain accurate component inventory levels.
- Manage ECI components in warehouse to ensure that proper procedures are followed at the time of change.
- Special projects from supervisor / manager as needed (including Kaizen activities to improve job efficiency)

- Critical thinking, problem solving and steps to take needed to resolve issues.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations with software or a calculator
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to quickly recognize issues and work proactively to resolve them
- Ability to manipulate data using software such as IBM Notes, Mapics “Green Screen,” Infor XA, and Microsoft Office
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with Team Members from all functional areas
