JOB SUMMARY:
Performs complex secretarial work of an administrative nature. Provides assistance to the Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides principle administrative support to the Director and departmental staff.
1. Screens and takes messages for departmental staff.
2. Types correspondence, special reports, and other documents as assigned by the Director.
3. Composes letters, memorandum, develops charts, graphs, and diagrams.
4. Answers telephone, takes messages and answers inquiries within assigned scope of responsibility.
5. Schedules appointments, meetings and maintains calendar.
6. Distributes mail; orders, distributes, and keeps an inventory of supplies.
7. Prepares materials for workshops, conferences, meetings, duplicates/collates.
8. Maintains files; proofreads and edits; and prepares reports.
9. Maintains and processes forms/filing for the department.
10. Greets, introduces and assists visitors.
11. Performs other duties as requested and required by the Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent and acceptable clerical, secretarial or administrative assistance experience. Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
