Franklin Public Schools is seeking a groundskeeper for this upcoming summer!
Job Duties
- Observe all mandatory safety regulations.
- Mow, edge, trim, and water district natural turf.
- Edge walkways, hoe, and pull weeds and rake leaves.
- Sweep litter from walks, driveways, and other assigned areas.
- Plant, cultivate, prune, spray, fertilize, and irrigate flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and shrubs.
- General labor duties.
- Work in a positive and professional manner with administration, public and staff.
Job Goal
Under the direction of the shift supervisor, assigned functions are performed to ensure that the educational facility is in a safe, healthy, and clean condition.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Keep assigned areas in the safest possible condition at all times.
- Have the well being of the students, employees, and visitors in mind at all times.
- Take immediate and appropriate action related to any unsafe conditions that may exist in the building by eliminating the problem or reporting it to their lead person or supervisor.
Physical Demands of Essential Functions
Frequently - Including but not limited to; climbing, squatting and reaching.
Constantly - Including but not limited to; bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, reaching, grasping and walking.
Some or all movements may be repetitive and include overhead work.
- Lifting 0-50 pounds: Frequently
- Lifting over 50 pounds: Occasionally
- Reaching 90 degrees: Constantly
- Reaching 180 degrees: Frequently
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends
