Reporting Relationships: Reports to Building Principal and Director of Instructional Services; may be responsible for multiple buildings.General Responsibilities: To provide instructional guidance and support to teachers and students in science, technology, and engineering in a learning environment that will enable students to master the concepts and skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity. Performance Responsibilities: Provide support to teachers through classroom modeling and coaching of best practices using a research based approach Support teachers in administering assessments and analyzing data to determine the abilities of all students and develop an appropriate instructional planAssist teachers in planning tiered interventions for at-risk students Recommend use of varied instructional materials and strategiesCreate thoughtful assessments, interpret test results, and provide statistical data to inform instructionCreate and coordinate a district assessment program with an administration scheduleFacilitate/assist in professional development offerings for staff in the content areaProvide support and coaching to new teachers in the area of science, technology, engineeringShare the districts STE curriculum alignment and model lessons to support the implementation of a MA Frameworks based approach to STEPerform other related duties as assigned by building principal or the Director of Instructional Services
