As part of its special education programming, Extended School Year (ESY) Services are provided to eligible students. Franklin offers a number of ESY programs from preschool through high school. Extended School Year services are provided to students who meet one or more of the criteria for such services as outlined in special education law. Typically, eligible students require services because they have demonstrated or are likely to demonstrate substantial regression in his/her learning skills and/or substantial difficulty relearning such skills if an extended year program is not provided.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of program lead teacher, provide individual, group, and/or 1:1 support to students and program. Mornings are devoted to explicit instruction in academic areas and social skills while afternoons are focused on structured recreational activities, educational electives and social skills practice. Qualifications: experience with young students with disabilities; experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis; bachelors degree preferredHours: -STAR Program- 4 days/week; M, T, W, TH; 8:00 AM 1:00 PM from July 7 August 8, 2025-Integrated Programs- 3 days/week; T, W, TH; 8:00 AM 11:00 AM or 8:00 AM 12:30 PM from July 7 August 8, 2025Compensation: $22.92Successful applicants must be available for the full duration of the program.
